KONNECT GAMING APP
Role: UX & UI design, prototyping Timeline: 3 weeks (2024) Platform: Mobile app Tags: UI, UX Konnect is a concept for a social-first game streaming platform where gamers can watch streams, chat live, and play together in one app. The project explores how to blend Twitch-style streaming with Discord-like community features into a single, playful experience — aiming to reduce the friction casual gamers face when jumping between apps to watch, chat, and find people to play with. The Problem Casual gamers typically split one play session across 2–3 apps — one to watch streams, one to chat, one to organize games with friends (e.g. Twitch, Discord, WhatsApp). That context-switching makes it harder to stay engaged with a community and to move quickly from watching to actually playing. Clips and coordination get lost across apps in the process. Problem Statement "How might we help casual gamers seamlessly watch, chat, and play together without juggling multiple apps?" Goals & Constraints Reduce the steps between watching a stream, chatting, and playing together Make communities feel active and social rather than a static list of offline channels Scope the concept to an MVP-friendly set of core flows within a 3-week timeline, rather than full feature coverage Solution A set of interconnected mobile screens (streaming, chat, and social/community views) built around the visual direction above — dark base, neon accent, color reserved for primary actions and live-status indicators. Outcome & Reflections As a concept, Konnect demonstrates how streaming, social features, and lightweight gaming coordination can live in a single coherent flow rather than being split across multiple apps.
